It was a cold week in Gulfport but at least it didn’t rain! The Brawley horses and riders continued to have a successful winter circuit…

Obelix and Bob jumped a beautiful round in the $35,000 CWD Grand Prix over an extremely technical course. They left all of the jumps up and finished with a single time fault which put them in 6th place.

Giselle and Delaney Torti made their show ring debut and received a blue in the Non-pro Prep. They also received nice ribbons in the older Childrens hunters with 17 horses in their division and were 8th in the NAL/WIHS Childrens classic. Giselle and Bob were reserve champions in the 2’6″ Special Hunters and received nice ribbons in the Pre-Green Hunter division as well.

Amadeo and Bob were extremely consistent in the large and competitive 3’6″ Performance Hunter division and missed being reserve champions by a mere 2 points! They had top placings in a number of the classes and lead the jog in the handy round.

Q and Bob continued laying down smooth clear rounds in the 1.10M jumpers and they started to turn up the heat in the jump offs as well. They finished 3rd in one of the classes!

Delaney catch rode Cohiba in the low Child/Adult jumpers this week. This was Delaney’s first time doing the jumpers and the pair was fantastic. They were 4th and 6th in a large group. Bob and Cohiba also finished 2nd in a 1.15M class earlier in the week.

Crown Prince continued to learn the horse show ropes and improved with each round he completed. He has a lovely way of going and is super fun to watch. He was 7th in one of his rounds and we’re looking forward to seeing what he does this week.

Essos continued his consistent rounds and received a blue in the Open Prep. He also received nice ribbons in the 2’6″ Special Hunters. We can’t wait to see Diane make her show ring debut on him!

Cosmo returned to the show ring for the first time in quite a while. He seems super happy to be back and was 2nd and 3rd over fences in the 3′ Special Hunters!

The Weather Channel says the coming week is going to be quite a bit warmer. We’re looking forward to our final week in Gulfport and hope to finish the circuit with a bang!!
