It has been an exhilarating opening week at HIPICO Santa Fe with professionals from around the world arriving in New Mexico and completing their first rides of the Santa Fe Summer Series. Surrounded by breathing mountain vistas, Bob Brawley and his horse Condero 3 jumped to victory on Friday, placing first in the $7500 Weekly Welcome Stake, the first big jumper class of the series and the first day jumping in the grass Grand Prix Arena. Coarse designer Marina Azevedo created a challenging and rich course for the riders.

“First off, the footing is fabulous and course rode great. Marina Azevedo set a very appropriate course with 4 clean horses in the jump off. I am very happy with Condero 3, he road perfectly and loved the footing. It has been a really nice day for him. I am grateful to the Dematteo family and Ddm Equestrian Llc for the opportunity to ride this incredible horse.”

Bob Brawley grew up in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, where he road with his mother for 35 years. He now lives in Dallas, Texas. Posing for the award shot with his wife Dana and son Lucas, Bob is thrilled to be back in New Mexico for HIPICO’s second season.
